This October 6th & 7th, Celebrate with Radiance on Energy Efficiency Day and National LED Lights Day

Time to celebrate a greener future Canada! This month brings us not one, but TWO days to celebrate a cleaner future with Energy Efficiency Day on October 6th and National LED Lights Day on October 7th, 2021.

Are you ready for a brighter, more prosperous and energy-efficient future? LED lighting is an essential part of Canada’s strategy that makes it possible!

Energy Efficiency Day celebrates greater abundance, prosperity, and better health

Energy Efficiency Day commemorates the efforts of individuals, businesses, and organizations that support innovative, low-cost and healthy solutions that increase the health of our planet and the quality of our lives.

This special day is backed by Efficiency Canada - the national voice behind energy transformation in Canada. By studying the systems that influence Canada’s energy use, Efficiency Canada highlights strengths and issues in Canada’s energy efficiency sector, benchmarks against other jurisdictions and climate change goals, recommends policies, and provides resources for energy efficiency advocates.

You can also show your support for energy efficiency by signing on as an advocate and asking your city to make a proclamation. When you support Energy Efficiency Day you are taking a stand for the environment by advocating for greener, cost-effective solutions that reduce pollution, improve our health, and boost economic opportunities.

As one of 158 Canadian organizations that have pledged support for Energy Efficiency Day, Radiance Energy is committed to a greener, healthier and more prosperous future for Canada and the rest of the world. In addition to helping businesses switch to LED lighting, we also support clean energy programs that create jobs, boost economic opportunities, and guide everyone to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Celebrating LED Lights Day

National LED Lights Day pays tribute to the luminous power that LED lighting technology brings into our lives. Since the invention of LED technology in 1962, LEDs have evolved to become a superior alternative to halogen and fluorescent lighting, earning researchers Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano and Shuji Nakamura a Nobel Prize in physics on October 7, 2014.

On this day, Canadians, and millions of people across the world celebrate their achievements and the benefits of modern LEDs that go beyond efficiency and rapidly changing technology.

Over the years, LEDs have become the leading source for artificial light, and have been able to do so through its robust, cost effective, and easily customizable features. LED lights have made it a long way over the years, and with increasingly added benefits through new and innovative technology, it is certainly something worth celebrating for.
